Erin McLaughlin

Erin has knowledge and experience that set her apart from many others.  She has dedicated over half her years to studying the horse and the interaction between horse and human.  She strives to see both her equine and human students learn and progress with confidence.

Erin has been involved with many areas of the horse business.   She has experience with a large variety of breeds from miniatures to mules and has a wide range of knowledge about equines and their care.

She has experience with all facets of catalog horse sales and preparing horses for sale.  Erin was also the Horse Program Manager at Mayacamas Ranch in Calistoga, CA where she was responsible for the care of the ranch horses, training, and instructing guests during horsemanship sessions and trail rides integrating natural horsemanship skills.

Over the last eight years, Erin has focused on natural horsemanship and rode  with Randal Moore, a past Parelli professional, for almost four years.  She has assisted with clinics, started colts, taken on difficult and challenging horses, and trailer loading.

In 2006, Erin started Interstate Horse Transport, LLC to offer clients a safe and reliable horse hauling service.  IHT's main purpose is to give horses a safe, educational ride to their destination.

Erin currently rides with Buck Brannaman when ever possible.  She firmly believes you never stop learning and that horses are the best teachers.  In addition to riding, Erin is a firm believer that feet, nutrition and dental work are all critical to a horse's well being.  She is a certified farrier and is interested in horse nutrition.

Erin's other interests include spending time with family, friends and her dogs.  She likes music and is a talented artist.
